This Privacy Policy explains how Steelman collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, app, TestFlight beta, and related services.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, username, display name, profile details, and similar account data.
- User content: prompts, arguments, guesses, respects, comments, gloat captions, uploaded or recorded videos, audio-related content, profile images, and other content you submit.
- Usage information: app interactions, scores, rank activity, notifications, session activity, crash reports, device information, and performance data.
- Payment information: if paid features are enabled, payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers.
- Communications: emails or messages you send to us, beta feedback, support requests, and survey responses.
How We Use Information
- Operate, secure, personalize, and improve Steelman.
- Create accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, and support anonymous-to-registered account upgrades.
- Display and rank user-generated content, calculate scores, show leaderboards, and power notifications.
- Generate or process audio, avatar, gloat, and other media features.
- Detect abuse, moderate content, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the service.
- Analyze product performance, debug crashes, and understand which features are useful.
- Communicate with users about accounts, beta access, support, updates, safety, and policy changes.
Sharing Information
We may share information with service providers who help us run Steelman, including hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, app distribution, payment, email, moderation, and AI/audio vendors. Current or expected providers may include Supabase, Vercel, Expo, Apple/TestFlight, ElevenLabs, Stripe, and similar infrastructure providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or security issues, in connection with a business transfer, or with your consent.
User Content and Visibility
Steelman is built around user-generated content. Content you submit may be visible to other users, reviewers, moderators, service providers, or the public depending on the feature. Do not submit anything you want kept private. We may review, remove, transform, rank, summarize, moderate, or otherwise use user content to operate and improve the service.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Steelman, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Some content may remain in backups, logs, moderation records, or aggregated analytics after account deletion.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting us. Some requests may be limited by safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, moderation needs, or technical constraints.
Children
Steelman is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International Users
Steelman is operated from the United States. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
